I set up this still life by finding papers that kind of went with the color scheme of the bottles, and setting up the bottles in different ways. I tried a variety of angles to see which ones look the best. I used the coca cola for these still lifes because I like collecting them from a lot of the different places I go, and they remind me of the memories attached.
To set up these photos, I chose all warm colors of colored pencils, and a paper that contrasts with those colors. I wanted to make it more interesting so I drew swirling lines on the paper with the pencils, and made them lead to the center where your eyes should be drawn. I chose these pencils because one of my favorite things is art and drawing.
I set up the still lifes by collecting things in my room that would look compelling in a photo together. The factors to take into account were color, how it would tell a story/ be interesting, and just if the objects would look good together. When setting up the photos I tried to make them look balanced and appealing to the eye with the spacing and arrangement of all of the objects. I thought the meaning behind these photos could be about how you find something beautiful in the worst times, the way the dead flowers flow out of the watering can represents that.
I composed these photos first by finding fruits with colors that look intriguing together, and that contrast each other. Then I set them up together to look balanced. I chose these objects, because I thought fruit would look nice for a still life photo, and I just really fruit.
I decided to set up the mugs with this arrangement, because it's appealing and draws you eye to the center. This uses the line element of art, and also balance. I chose mugs for this still life set up, because I liked the colors together, and I also love making tea and the mugs remind me of the calming feeling of drinking tea.
