The place I chose was the state theatre downtown, I chose it because it reminds me of going to the movies with my friends or family. I composed them by putting the cameras level as I could to the main subject. the feeling it should convey is light and happy because of the color and subject of the photo.
The location is pinball Pete's (an arcade also downtown), I chose it because I used to go here a lot to cheer me up, so there are good memories attached. It was hard to make the arcade the main focus of the photo because there were lots of people walking and buildings surrounding it. I chose to compose the photo with an upwards angle to fix that. The feeling these photos should convey is also more cheerful and bright.
This is the wall of a brick building downtown, I chose it because I like all of the vibrant colors and I think it's nice to look at. I started by taking them close up so you can see all of the details and colors clearly, then crossed the street to get farther away and you could see the building surrounding it. I thought that brought attention to the wall and made it pop against dull colors. The feeling I think the photos convey is animated and positive.
This location is also a graffiti wall I really like, I like it because it reminds me of summer and being able to run around in the grass. I tried to just get that wall in the photo because it's the main focus and it looks best like that. I think the photos use an element of repetition and pattern with the bricks and the windows. The feeling these pictures give me is nostalgic and happy.
This is the clock tower downtown, I chose it as one of my architecture images because I thought it looked interesting for a photo and it feels like you could create a story behind it. In the second photo I included more in the picture because it leads up to the focus of the photo and makes it compelling to look at. The feeling I think the photos convey is kind of dark and mysterious because of the blank sky and dark buildings.
