I used the gelato as my object because I thought it looked really pretty and appetizing. All of the colors together worked really well, and I thought the background added to it and gave the photos more of a story. I got it with my family at a shop that we passed by, it was a really nice memory to have. The photo kind of captures how I was feeling because it's bright and colorful. I think the street in the background also added to the memory.
These were taken in Paris, I went there with my family to visit my sister because she's studying abroad in Spain. They were taken when me and her went to a shop with bread and cheese. I really like the photos because they remind me of her and the memories rom that trip. I thought the background added to the photos and wasn't distracting, because the lines lead your eyes to the focus. I also think the details are really easy to see in the bread which also brings your eyes to it.
I chose these shoes as one of my objects because I love them and wear them a lot. They are simple but also have interesting details for a photo. I decided to tie them onto the bar because really liked how they looked against the background, and I thought it was a lot more interesting than just taking them on the ground. I think it leaves you with more of a question about the photos, and gives it a sort of care free feel, because they're just dangling there. The laces acted as leading lines to the focus of the picture, so did the bars and buildings behind the shoes.
locks of love
These were also taken in Paris, people put these locks up on the gate with the initials of them and their significant other, like carving your names into a tree or bench. I thought that was really cool and different, so I decided to use them as one of my objects. I think it's a way to show someone that you want to be with them forever, like you're locked together. The locks look really interesting at certain angles, I really like how in the first photo some of them are out of focus to emphasize just two of the locks. I also think the lighting worked well with the photo, and made it look clear and bright.
I chose this as one of my objects because I just thought the different colors of the leaves and everything about the photo worked well together. I think the white space behind the leaves looks really nice and adds to the composition. Also the building in the background uses the rule of thirds and makes the photo look symmetrical. I also chose this object because I love plants and trees and I think they can be really cool looking.
